New Budget PSP to come to Europe only

At Sony’s Gamescon 2011 press briefing, the newly named Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president and CEO Jim Ryan revealed that they plan to continue supporting the PSP by releasing a new model.

The new PSP will be priced at €99 ($143). However, that price does not come without sacrifice. The new model will not have Wi-Fi capabilities unlike other PSP models. As far as physical design goes, it also looks a little different, like a sort of cross between the 3000 model and the GO. Aside from the fact that it will be Wi-Fi-less, it will still retain the rest of the PSP features.

There is no specific release date yet and will not be launching in North America.

Because they want to clear out their excess spare parts before releasing Vita

That actually makes sense. Won’t fly though, just like the PSP GO

I agree, If PSP GO didn’t sell, how come this one would sell? knowing that this one sucks more than GO lol

Who would buy a piece of junk for 99 euro? lol most people use it for browsing on wifi, listening to music more than just playing games. This would sell though if they released it earlier while single player titles are still hot. This is pointless haha
