Burnout Crash looks aweso- wait… wtf?

I got a little bit excited when I heard that Criterion was working on another Burnout game and so were many others. When they announced that it would be a PSN and XBLA title, a lot of people were displeased. I remained optimistic because it’s Criterion and they make car crashes look awesome. This however…

Is THIS what you call a Burnout game? Sure it has car crashes, explosions, and traffic pile ups of vehicles but damn. The excuse of “well it’s PSN/XBLA” won’t cut it here cause I have seen PSN and XBLA games that look way better than this.

But graphics and art style don’t make the whole game.” is what I would say but this doesn’t even look fun. Why Criterion? Why?… I’m sad now.

Title says it itself. This game is in for a crash.

I like it, am curious, and look forward to playing it before I can really decide what I think of it. I think Criterion’s trying out a new style and I just want to see if they can pull it off and if they don’t, hopefully they just go back to whatever works for them and the fans.

Still very optimistic about this though, then again I’m no game expert or anything, I just want to play for the hell of it.

Just trying to see things from their point of view. Since my POV’s shit. lol. I just sort of see what they were going for an I appreciate the effort. At best, I will consider this a great game but not a Burnout game. It still has Crash Mode’s soul in it IMO and I guess that’s the main reason why I’m open to giving this a shot.
